What to Bring

The Gear List.

Everything you need to line up on event day — the required kit that keeps the range safe and the recommended gear that keeps you moving. New to this? Don't sweat it: loaner firearms and gear are available, and our RSOs will get you squared away before the first stage.

Read This First
You only need three magazines for your rifle and three for your pistol — plan to run up to three per platform on any given stage, so load them ahead of your run. Exact round counts and any event-specific requirements arrive in your confirmation email. No gear? No problem. Rentals and loaner kit are available — just tell us when you register.
01

Weapons & Ammunition

RifleRequired
A reliable semi-auto rifle, .223 / 5.56 or larger. Any muzzle device is fine, but bare brakes and compensators must be paired with a blast-mitigating device or suppressor so you're not lighting up the shooter beside you.
PistolRequired
A dependable centerfire handgun you can run under fatigue. It must fit your holster securely and hold up to movement, dust, and a racing heart rate.
AmmunitionRequired
Plan on roughly 250 rounds per platform and bring a cushion on top of that. Final counts are confirmed in your event email — steel-core and green-tip are not permitted on our steel targets.
Magazines — 3 & 3Required
Three rifle magazines and three pistol magazines. A stage may have you cycle all three of a platform, so stage them full and within reach before you step to the line.
Magazine PouchesRequired
Enough retention to carry your spare mags on your belt or carrier and grab them fast. Open-top or flap — whatever keeps them put while you run, crawl, and carry.
HolsterRequired
A rigid holster that fully covers the trigger guard and retains the pistol during hard movement. Worn at the hip; drop-leg rigs are welcome. No soft or floppy holsters.
SlingRequired
A two-point sling worn for the entire match — it keeps your rifle controlled while your hands are busy carrying, climbing, and throwing.
Chamber Safety FlagRequired
A visible empty-chamber indicator that stays in your rifle any time you're not on the firing line. This is non-negotiable and checked by our RSOs.
02

Optics & Sights

Red Dot SightAll Tiers
Permitted on both pistol and rifle in every tier. A dot is a fast, forgiving choice when your sight picture is bouncing after a heavy carry.
Magnified OpticAllowed
Magnified and variable-power optics are allowed on rifles. Iron sights are perfectly welcome too — bring what you shoot best.
03

Required Gear

Weighted Vest / Plate CarrierRequired
A 15 lb weighted vest or plate carrier, worn throughout — every tier, every stage. Weight is measured on the slick carrier alone, without pouches, hydration, or attachments. Loaner vests are on hand if you need one.
Eye & Ear ProtectionRequired
Wraparound eye protection and hearing protection worn on every live-fire stage. Electronic muffs are recommended so you can still hear range commands.
Sturdy BeltRequired
A rigid belt that keeps your holster and pouches at hip level and won't sag when you're moving hard. This is what your pistol setup hangs on — don't skimp here.
Valid Photo IDRequired
All competitors are 18+ and must show valid government photo identification at check-in. A signed waiver is completed on-site before you compete.
